1. Short title
This Act may be cited as the Crown Lands (Conditions) Act, 1968.2. Interpretation
In this Act—“Commissioner” means the former High Commissioner, the former Resident Commissioner, or any other officer whose office has ceased to exist before the operative day, or Her Majesty’s Commissioner;“condition” means such condition contained in any grant, lease or other disposal of Crown lands made before the operative day as requires the consent, permission or other authority of the Commissioner for the validity of an act;“Crown lands” means Government lands (formerly Crown lands) as defined in the Crown Lands Disposal Act, No. 13 of 1911.“operative day” means the date appointed, under section 4(2) of the Swaziland Constitution Order, 1967 (published under Legal Notice Number 10 of 1967), as that on which section 89 of the Constitution shall come into operation.3. Enforcement of conditions
For the purpose of enforcing a condition, the Minister of Local Administration has the same rights, powers and duties as those the condition gives to, or imposes on, the Commissioner.History of this document
