An Act to validate certain acts of Ministers and Public Officers.

1. Short title

This Act may be cited as the Validation of Acts of Ministers and Public Officers Act, 1979.

2. Validation of acts of Ministers and public officers

(1)Notwithstanding any other law, all acts done by a Minister or a public officer in the discharge of any function or responsibility imposed by any law upon another Minister or public officer before the coming into operation of this Act shall be deemed to have been validly done and no such act shall be questioned in any court solely on the grounds that it was done by the Minister or public officer other than the Minister or public officer so authorised by law.

(2)In this Act, the word “act” includes a series of acts and an omission.
