An Act to enable judicial appointments to be made from persons who have held office or practised in the Commonwealth and South Africa.

1. Short title

This Act may be cited as the Judiciary Act, 1968.

2. Under sections 98 and 144 of the Constitution

The Republic of South Africa shall be a prescribed country for the purposes of section 98 and of the definition of "high judicial office" in section 144 of the Constitution.

3. Under section 106 of the Constitution

All Commonwealth countries and the Republic of South Africa shall be designated countries for the purposes of section 106 of the Constitution.
